The Dancer

from $40.00

This fine art print depicts a Yup’ik man dancing with drums raised behind him declaring ancient prayers with every beat.

In the original drawing the artist used his favorite coffee mug to create the rings of the drums. In fact this drawing is the inspiration behind the artist’s Coffee & Ink print line.  While drawing the dancer, David bumped the table.  A few minutes later while sipping his coffee, he noticed a coffee ring left behind.  Reminding him of drums, he redrew the image, and the rest is history…

Each print is signed by the artist in pencil for authenticity.

Materials: Prints are printed using archival ink on heavy rag paper

Custom Gallery Framing Description (add on options)

Each frame is made by the artist for an added personal touch to your artwork.  Cherrywood frames with contrasting spline corner reinforcements add strength and a visual pop to the finished look.

Why does the artist choose Cherrywood over other species?  Cherrywood starts out as a light golden/pinkish tone, and darkens to a rich reddish-brown color as it is exposed to light.  This creates a generative appeal to the frame over time.

Each Frame is finished with a paper backing to protect the image from dust intrusion.  Felt buttons are added to each corner helping to protect both the frame and wall surfaces, and self leveling wire hardware is added as a finishing touch allowing for the perfect placement of your finished work of art in your collection.

Matting Options:

Black

White

Glazing Grade Options:

Glass: Cost effective option providing a traditional ambiance (standard glass - No Ultraviolet or Anti-glare coating)

Acrylic Glass: Durable lightweight and impact resistant option, perfect for shipping, or areas with lots of traffic (No Ultraviolet or Anti-glare coating)

Museum Glass: Ensure the utmost quality and safeguarding of your cherished heirloom artwork. Ultraviolet coatings offer superior protection against both direct and indirect sunlight, allowing you to confidently display your art near natural light sources, reducing the risk of fading colors.  Additionally, anti-glare coatings enhance the visibility of your artwork by reducing light reflection and glare, making it ideal for positioning near indoor lighting or for highlighting with picture lights.

Note About Size with Frame:

Prints include a border allowing for custom matting.  This makes the actual size of each print one frame size larger: 6x8 fits into an 8x10 frame, the 8x10 fits into an 11x14 frame, and the 11x14 fits into a 16x20 picture frame
