First Dance
Commissioned - Belgium
The ‘First Dance’ is the right of passage performed after a boy or girl catches their first substantial animal, or prepares food on their own to provide for others.
They would keep nothing for themselves, giving first to the elders of the community.
These young men and women would now be allowed to join in dancing their prayers along with their peers, and ancestors.
