Reunited
Commissioned - Alaska
As days go by, our hearts often look toward home longing for the familiar…for family and friends.
This set of dance fans represent old friends who always find time to laugh when reunited.
The four holes surrounding the faces depict seasons moving around us. The appendages represent marsh cotton, marking the return of salmon each year.
My Grandmother always told me, ‘when the tundra is full of cotton, it is a sign we will be blessed with many Salmon.’
